~ No Title ~ (Too Tired to Think)
The past one week has been super busy for mummy leaving me with no time to blog and jot down Matty's development (not like there has been alot in one week.)
We celebrated Matty's lunar birthday last Tuesday. Just a simple affair... some mee-sua and red eggs. It was Mummy's lunar birthday too but I didn't think it was of any importance to mention it here. Now I fully understand why some people don't think that having a child sharing the same birthday is something to be excited about! *sigh*
And nope... Matty still has not taken his first step and he seem to have lost the enthusiasm to stand unsupported as well. But he is getting lots of practice with his fingers... pointing us in the direction to go, who to carry him and what he wants. Shopping has now become a chore when trying to manoeuvre the stroller through a narrow isle. Chances are that Matty will knock something off the shelf with his out-stretch arm taking in a feel of all the items on display. Oh yes... he somehow picked up the twinkle twinkle little stars hand action... but mood dependent though as usual.
New word mouthed over the weekend - "cold cold cold cold cold...". Not that he is feeling cold but he was referring to "air-con" in his own baby language. Granny has been telling him the big white thingy stuck on the wall blows "cold cold air". That explains why!
Mummy is now zombified due to lack of sleep last night. Matty was up from 12 plus to 3.30 in the morning. This time round I am fairly certain it was because he was too excited about all the new toys we got for him as birthday pressie yesterday afternoon. He couldn't stop talking at 2 am and it was quite obvious that he didn't want to let Mummy sleep when he tried to pull my quilt away at least twice.
*brain dying off*

Skipping SEVEN & EIGHT... and on to the caNINE
We have all been waiting (im)patiently for Matty's 7th and 8th tooth to sprout for weeks. Well... at least that's what we expect. (Teething is the most popular self-consoling reason that all sleep-deprived parents cite after a spell of cranky nights.)
We know from the health booklet that the next 2 teeth to come along are at the front lower gum. But much to our surprise last night, we actually found Matty's upper left canine peeking out. Judging from the size of the pearly, it must have cut through the gum since 2 weeks ago. Haven't had much luck to get Matty to open his mouth wide enough for us to check for the upper right canine. Going to try again later this evening.
Maybe one day we are going to wake up in the morning only to realise that Matty has a mouth full of teeth. This is the result of us humans paying too close attention to one area and neglecting the others.

The Luxurious "Car"
Mummy and Daddy took time out during lunch today to place a cake order for Matty's first birthday.
We initially agreed to get this really cute cake from The Patissier...
But in the end we chose another design because for a 3D cake like the one above, we can only have brownie for filling and to please everybody's taste bud... brownie is definitely not a good choice. The reason why they use brownie is because brownie is dense enough for the cake to retain its shape.
Of course to Mummy, the price is a bit too steep for a cake. Cute as it may be, $280 for just one cake... I think we can buy alot of toys with that money and Matty probably appreciates it more! Daddy thinks it is ok though. So now we know who is the really loaded one.

Hi-5 Action Hero Concert
After all the waiting and waiting... we finally saw Hi-5 "Live" last Saturday!!!
Matty just had his lunch and keeping himself entertained with the flyer before the start of the show.

Doing a bit of "exercise" during the intermission.
And to end it all... Mummy got one big smooch from Matty. (This is a first as he refuses to kiss Mummy despite many persuasions.)
